Meet Dr. Adam Wira

Adam Wira, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2019 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Northeastern Illinois University. Dr. Wira, born in Chicago, moved to Poland when he was a young boy where he lived until he finished high school. At that time, he moved back to Chicago to begin his education for his optometry career.

Dr. Wira is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life by giving them clearer vision with glasses or contacts and by also treating their individual eye conditions. As a child, Dr. Wira remembers the positive impact his first pair of glasses had on his vision and how his improved vision changed his life. Dr. Wira’s experience drives his desire to provide the same experience for his own patients.

In his spare time away from the office, Dr. Wira enjoys many outdoor activities, such as camping, swimming, and scuba diving, as well as the challenge of solving puzzle games.
